Were you on the Consulting Association’s blacklist?

This article is for those who suspect you, or others you know, may be one of the 3,214 people named on the Consulting Association’s construction industry blacklist, uncovered in 2009, as you may be up for some compensation.

The GMB union has access to many of the names on the blacklist and are asking for help in identifying all 3,214 so they can help arrange compensation. 8 of the 44 blacklisting companies (Balfour Beatty, Carillion, Costain, Kier, Laing O’Rourke, Sir Robert McAlpine, Skanska UK and Vinci) have already offered compensation to those they blacklisted.

The GMB is also gunning for the 34 HR professionals who ran the blacklist for the construction companies for almost 20 years and has now written to the Chartered Institute for Personnel and Development who have committed to confirm whether they are/were members, so that they can learn more about how it operated.
