TECHNOLOGY RESOURCING CELEBRATES 25YRS!

Astonishing as it might seem, and way beyond my children’s comprehension, there was a time (only 25 yrs ago) before Google, eBay and Amazon. A time before binging on YouTube and Netflix, sharing on LinkedIn, Facebook and Insta, and before our phones had 100,000 times the processing power of the Apollo 11 computers. Before all this, there was Technology Resourcing.

In 1995 we secured seed funding from The Specialist Recruitment Group Plc and moved into offices on the Surrey Research Park in Guildford. The same year Coolio’s ‘Gangsta’s Paradise’ and Seal’s ‘Kiss from a Rose’ topped the charts, the world population was a mere 5.7 billion (now 7.8bn!), John Major was PM, OJ Simpson was on trial and Nick Leeson took down Barings bank.

It’s been a roller-coaster of a ride since, from the early days surfing the dot.com wave, surviving major recessions, a raft of births, deaths and marriages, to where we are now, in the midst of a global pandemic and another recession – who could have seen that coming? We’ve learned heaps along the way, made some terrific friends and colleagues, stretched ourselves, had great fun (most of the time) and lived through some remarkable tech innovations and environmental changes that even Star Trek couldn’t have seen coming.

Most importantly though, we feel tremendously privileged and proud to have helped thousands of techies and tech leaders find their dream jobs and to have supported the growth of countless businesses and ground-breaking projects – each of you are an integral part of our success and we take this milestone moment to say a massive THANK YOU, as we certainly couldn’t have achieved this without you.

Now, let’s get this annus horribilis behind us and start looking forward again! To the next 25 years…
