Technical Consultant (Retail Sales Software)

Our client is a high growth, award winning software vendor, who delivers end-to-end sales automation solutions for the consumer goods industry worldwide. They are part of a huge (multi-£billion) global group and are continuing to expand across Europe and the UK, where we are helping them secure suitable Technical Consultants (along with Functional Consultants, BI Consultants and a Project Manager) to work in the Consumer Packaged Goods sector.

Accordingly, we are keen to hear from experienced IT Technical Consultants with a CPG / FMCG retail background, to join this dynamic and highly successful organisation. We’re looking for experience in retail execution, sales agreements, trade promotions, sales force automation, incentives management etc, ideally along with knowledge of SAP SD or FI modules, (although this is desirable, rather than mandatory).

Suitable candidates are likely to have at least 4 years’ experience in a similar role, as the successful applicant will be responsible for a range of high profile retail IT projects, implementing their highly configurable and integrated sales platform, which manages collaborative planning, customer plans, trade promotions, pricing policies, field worker productivity, customers claims, advanced analytics, modelling and forecasting.

The selected candidate will also be responsible for assuring technical consistence of the configuration and customisation, as well as being the technical point of reference for the client and the project team.

Tech Skills Required:
• Thorough knowledge and understanding of software applications architecture and infrastructure
• Advanced SQL and RDBMS architecture knowledge
• SQL performance tuning
• Advanced .Net (C#, SilverLight) and HTML5/JavaScript software development
• ETL and data integration skills
• Experience in system testing and support to user acceptance testing (UAT)
• Able to effectively deliver technical training
