Salary – 70-100k

Our client is a leading specialised consultancy, working with financial houses, retail groups and globally iconic brands. They are now looking for a Solution Architect to take up a key role in the organisation and become integral to their plans going forward.

Candidates will need to be highly client focused, stepping in at the end of the pre-sales process and regularly technically managing the engagement until the necessary business and infrastructure transformation has been achieved. This is an exciting opportunity to consolidate large enterprise infrastructures with Big Data such as Hadoop, working with a great team of highly technical and motivated colleagues.

The successful candidate will be designing true multi-tenant Data Lakes for hundreds or thousands of users, in environments where availability and security are taken seriously, and with cutting-edge enterprise technology. Change management is a challenge that you take on, because you can prove that your ideas bring value to your Client’s business.

The Solution Architect will be a trusted advisor to key clients. The ideal candidate will have a chance to sit down with global brands to help them figure out how they can do what they do better, and how technology may produce new revenue streams by building game-changing data storage and processing platforms using the latest, best and proven technologies out there. At the same time, the Solution Architect will work with the clients technical team to turn their vision into a reality.

Candidate Requirements:

Knowledge and Experience of Data Platforms such as
• Relational Database Systems
• Data Warehouse or other OLAP systems
• NoSQL platforms
• Hadoop
• Any of the following (MapReduce, Pig, Hive, Spark, Storm, Cassandra, HBase, Elasticsearch, Mesos etc

Excellent interpersonal skills, with demonstrable client facing track record – both technical and not technical.
Breadth of knowledge of technical systems, including enterprise, distributed and n-tier systems across multiple domains
Experience of working with engineering teams across the delivery life cycle to assist in the realisation of production architectures
Breadth of knowledge of technologies, including languages, frameworks and their required skill sets
Ability to design and understand how to broadly utilise these platforms in enterprise production settings
Experience in delivering large enterprise-level applications
Ten years’ experience in relevant roles, with at least five of them containing solution architecture experience
