Senior Railway Signalling Design Consultant
Role: Senior Signalling Design Engineer / Consultant
Type: Permanent
Salary: £60K – £70K base salary
Our client is currently seeking a Senior Signalling Design Engineer / Consultant to work with their customers across South East Asia and Australasia, with some work also in the UK.
You will be capturing their customer’s signalling design requirements, helping them define the spec’s and then creating, coordinating and managing design packages which will be produced and checked by their internal signalling design teams in the UK and overseas. IRSE design licences are not needed for most of the overseas work but you will need a thorough knowledge of the underlying signalling design principles (equivalent to IRSE Principles Designer, Verifier or DM license level) to be able to engage credibly and effectively with their customers who are utilising an array of signalling tech, from early elec/mech and RRI through to the latest modular CBI’s, along with their own interlocking products.
This is a great career opportunity with a high degree of customer engagement, so will require regular and extended periods of work (a month + at a time) in various locations across South East Asia and Australasia, building relations and trust with a range of railway owners, operators, contractors and consultancies.
When not working overseas you will be based from their UK offices in the Midlands, although with flexibility to work 1-2 days/week from home if required, so you will need existing right to work in the UK. The company will, of course, organise and fund all visas, flights, hotels, local design licences etc for your travel, along with a base salary in the region of £60-70K.
Technology Resourcing is acting as an Employment Agency in relation to this vacancy.
