Interim CTO (data strategy & software dev)
This is a great opportunity for an accomplished CTO to define and deliver a global data strategy for our client, along with managing the associated organisational transformation. The objective is to drive new sources of revenue by leveraging technology and data for their customer’s in smarter, faster and better ways, whilst also connecting the big data dots, modelling the future and reducing operational costs where possible,
They already have some great pieces of tech, which they are looking to monetise and integrate better. They have internal developers and external partners but they now need a global, unified approach on how they collaborate, internally and externally, to design, build & run their technology. [Their infrastructure however is handled by an entirely separate team, although you will of course be working with them also]
We’re looking for a technology leader with a strong data analytics / software development (AGILE) / solutions architecture background and a proven track record of developing and executing pragmatic, commercially viable data strategies. You will be experienced in how best to exploit emerging technologies, assessing when to be an early adopter vs when to be a fast follower and whether to buy, build or partner.
You will have a solid software development and solutions architecture background, be familiar with AGILE development and a proven track record of successfully implementing mid to large software solutions. You will have applied and practical experience with “big data” solutions and the relevant tools and technologies such as Map Reduce, Hadoop, PowerPivot etc, be able to design and create platforms “in the cloud” and to implement global solutions (CRM, client portals, data visualisation applications etc) in a diverse environment.
