Our client is part of a £6bn group with 60K staff worldwide, delivering workflow, document management and e-commerce solutions to large (mostly Fortune 500) clients, especially those in the finance, utilities & telecoms sectors.

This role has been created to assist a pan-European team in the development of a new platform to replace their current incarnation using MVC. The leader of the project (who this role reports to) is a hands-on manager and senior developer himself – which makes for a strong, collaborative development environment.

Due to the remote locations of the European team members involved, this role offers the ability to work from home 3-4 days a week, with occasional European travel to client sites and seminars.
The successful applicant will be a strong MVC Developer who has the ability to, largely, manage their own workload. There are defined end goals that need to be achieved, but the Project Lead is willing to listen to alternative ways to get the job done.

This is an exciting opportunity to get involved in a two year project at the ground floor, become an invaluable member of the team, and once the project is over, become key to the further development projects required on the new framework.

Desired Experience:

Proficient web application skills with good knowledge of:
ASP .Net MVC
Microsoft SQL or Oracle DB
HTML, JavaScript, JQuery
Castle Windsor
nHibernate

Knowledge of the following would be distinctly advantageous:

Java web application development
Knockout
BASIS / OpenText Collections Server ERDM

The ideal candidate will be:

Able to develop according a specification, and to assure that the code is feature complete
Highly detail focused, and conscientious in their approach to development
Able to work under pressure and deliver the results on time
Pro-actively involved during the whole development process
Fluent in English

Technology Resourcing is acting as an Employment Agency in relation to this vacancy.
