This assignment is to join a pan-European team developing a replacement platform, using MVC, for a huge global group who deliver corporate workflow and e-commerce solutions. You will be reporting to a hands-on, UK based manager / senior developer and due to the remote locations of the European team members involved, you will be able to work from home 3-4 days a week, with occasional short European trips, as needed.

The successful applicant will have solid MVC experience with the ability to manage their own workload. There are of course defined end goals that need to be achieved, but their collaborative approach means that their Project Lead is always willing to listen to alternative ways to get the job done as efficiently effectively as possible.

This is a great opportunity to join an exciting two year project from the outset and once the project is over, help transition the other Developers to this platform and cross-train to the new tech.

Desired Experience:

Proficient web application skills with good knowledge of:
ASP .Net MVC
Microsoft SQL or Oracle DB
HTML, JavaScript, JQuery
Castle Windsor
nHibernate

Knowledge of the following would be advantageous, but not essential:

Java web application development
Knockout
BASIS / OpenText Collections Server ERDM

The ideal candidate will be:

Able to develop according a specification, and to assure that the code is feature complete
Highly detail focused, and conscientious in their approach to development
Able to work under pressure and deliver the results on time
Pro-actively involved during the whole development process
Fluent in English
