Government approves Security Clearance Code of Practice for Recruiters

After two years of discussion with recruitment trade bodies the Cabinet Office has now approved a Code of Practice for jobs requiring national security clearance vetting.

This new code details how Recruiters and Hiring Managers should behave to avoid charges of discrimination, whilst ensuring candidates (contractors and permanent staff) don’t miss out on opportunities because they don’t have the necessary security clearance at the initial application stage.
