Senior / Lead Apptio TBM Consultants x2

Location: Remote working, but must be based in the UK, Germany, Austria or Switzerland (or elsewhere in Europe if German & English speaking)

Our client’s expansion across Europe means they are now hiring two additional Apptio TBM Consultants. One is to be based in the UK and the other in the DACH region. Both require fluent English, with a preference for those who speak German also. You will work with C‑level and senior executive stakeholders, delivering independent ITFM consulting services to a wide range of enterprise organisations across multiple sectors.

This role calls for someone who combines technical depth, across finance and IT, with genuine consulting ability. You will draw on your own experience, best practice and lessons learned, supported by an exceptionally strong team of TBM, FinOps and SPM experts. We’re looking for customer-focused consultants who remain firmly aligned to their client’s desired ITFM outcomes. You will work both independently and as part of a team, often navigating complex and politically sensitive environments with tact and diplomacy while still delivering high‑quality engagements.

Responsibilities include:

• Assess the maturity of the client’s ITFM processes and systems before advising on improvements, defining the desired future state and identifying the challenges ahead.
• Carry out quantitative and observational analysis to develop clear recommendations.
• Prepare and lead customer workshops.
• Design and implement ITFM solutions based on robust data analysis.
• Produce and manage project plans for TBM implementation and optimisation work.
• Present findings and recommendations to senior leadership teams.

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 (ideally 10) years of relevant IT Financial Management experience, including hands‑on work with Apptio’s ITFM solution along with a sound understanding of IT service definition, cost transparency, budgeting, charging, RoI analysis, financial planning, vendor management, IT reporting KPIs etc.
• Excellent analytical and quantitative skills, with advanced Excel proficiency.
• Fluent English, both written and spoken, with a preference for those with German also.
• Prior consulting experience preferred, whether internal or external.
• Excellent client‑facing communication skills, with high emotional intelligence and the ability to influence at senior levels.
• A degree or recognised professional qualification in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, Computer Science or a related field.
• Apptio certified preferred
