This multi-€bn eCommerce company is already a clear market leader in Europe and now, with significant PE investment, they’re doubling their headcount (currently a little over 1K) and targeting a staggering €10bn turnover in the next 5 years.

About the Role:
To scale at this pace they are hiring a Senior/Lead Enterprise Architect, reporting directly to the VP of Engineering, to lead a small team of 4 Solution/Technical Architects working across their Supply Chain domain including Logistics (inbound & outbound), Inventory Forecasting and Demand Planning, MDM, Distribution, Replenishment, Inventory and Warehouse Management, Network Planning, Transport Planning, Fulfilment, Last Mile Management and Supplier/Partner management.

You will be their Architecture SME for Supply Chain and Logistics, collaborating with other domain specific EAs and contributing to their wider Architecture Community of Practice. This will include defining project requirements, conducting architecture design reviews, assessing build/buy decisions, communicating trade-offs, presenting at community events and evaluating future-state architectures. They are a very open-minded group of Architects, who love bouncing ideas between each other and embrace lean architectural approaches and solutions.

Your team will develop detailed solution roadmaps for a well-defined set of capabilities or logical group of systems/services/projects and then work with Engineers and PMs to ensure that implementation meets design expectations. You will need to be proactive and highly collaborative, working across functions and geographies (offices in 10 European countries), to ensure systems, apps and platforms integrate effectively and drive the required outcomes.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop architecture and design for supply chain capabilities and initiatives to improve cost, productivity, quality, and efficiency of operations
  • Develop product architecture vision, aligned with the enterprise vision
  • Analyze and translate business requirements into architectural blueprints, using standard enterprise solutions where possible
  • Provide visibility of the Enterprise/Domain architecture and validate associated development efforts
  • Assess new Enterprise solutions and plan and lead legacy-to-Enterprise transformation
  • Drive guidelines & policies to govern product development
  • Ensure software architecture quality
  • Support product teams

Required Skills:

  • Experience architecting and designing Supply Chain, Logistics and MDM solutions Excellent knowledge of architecture approaches/paradigms and tech alternatives
  • Experience architecting and designing Supply Chain planning systems such as Kinaxis, O9 Solutions, Blue Yonder, SAP-IBP
  • Understanding of data transmission technologies (EDI, API, SFTP etc.) and integration into supply chain processes
  • Previous leadership experience
  • Confident and credible communicating to CxO leadership, both internally and externally
  • Understands both business and technical issues and then designs appropriate solutions
  • Excellent English skills, both spoken and written, with outstanding communication, influencing and negotiation skills
  • [E-Commerce experience would be ideal, but is not essential]

Remuneration:
Salary will be commensurate with a Senior / Lead / Principal Enterprise Architect role, along with an annual 25% bonus (which can overpay) and a range of other flexible benefits.
