UK wages to rise above inflation for 2015

According to a recent study, British wages will rise above inflation throughout 2015 for the first time in eight years. The UK’s workforce will expand by more than 1.2 million people between 2014 and 2018, growing at an average of 0.9% a year and Britain’s unemployment rate, running at 5.7% currently, is forecast to return to its pre-crisis level of 5.2% in 2018.

However, the latest official labour market data showed pay  including bonuses up by 2.1% in December confirming that the squeeze on living stands has come to an end, for the time being.
