About the Company:

Our client is a well-funded ($100m+), rapidly scaling and truly revolutionary HealthTech company. You will be working alongside some of the brightest minds in the country, who are developing, testing, deploying and managing sophisticated infrastructure. You will be joining a small, highly respected team of 6 x Software Testers 

Your Responsibilities:

  • Design and execute test cases against software requirements across all levels, including functional, regression, integration, unit and smoke testing.
  • Automate test cases wherever feasible, utilizing a range of technologies such as pytest, Selenium, Appium and Google Test.
  • Collaborate with Software Developers and other teams to clarify requirement definitions.
  • Review others test cases and implementations.
  • Support and promote the adoption of new tech and methodologies for both manual and automated testing, including CI/CD systems, both locally and in the cloud.

Essential Skills and Knowledge:

  • Proficient writing Python and Java code (and preferably some C).
  • Develop test scripts for automating test case execution.
  • Develop test cases that comprehensively cover software requirements, following Agile methodology
  • Familiarity with Jenkins, or similar CI/CD systems.
  • Familiarity with both Linux and Windows OS.
  • A passion for testing and breaking, safety critical, complex software.Able to quickly grasp complex tech requirements and create appropriate test cases to verify.

Desired Skills and Knowledge:

  • Understanding of git, Jira and/or Confluence.
  • Proficient in Java and Appium.
  • Experience with Android or other low-level embedded software that doesn’t run on standard Win or Linux OS
  • Experience automating or connecting physical devices (eg personal projects with Raspberry Pi) to cloud systems.
  • Experience with the SDLC of medical devices, ideally with knowledge of the associated  standards and regulations (ISO13485, ISO14791 IEC62304 etc).
  • Test Driven Development (TDD).
  • Cloud knowledge, especially AWS and RESTful APIs.
