The Company:

Our client delivers multi-platform programmatic and tracked advertising solutions to connect digital advertisers with publishers across the globe. They are highly profitable and are scaling rapidly. They are part of a larger $500m group, with offices elsewhere in Europe, Asia and the USA.

Background:

They have recently built and implemented an innovative new AdTech platform (with an external software partner), to replace their legacy solution, which they are now migrating their existing customers to. This powerful new platform has been custom-built to deliver maximum competitive advantage as they process extremely high volumes (X0,000 requests/second) so low level code efficiency is essential, as is high availability, to continue and accelerate their growth.

Requirement:

They are now looking to hire an additional Senior Golang Software Engineer to join their existing small team (4) of Software Engineers, improving and extending the new platform’s functionality, while also customising it to deliver their customers’ current and future requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Working on all parts of their AdTech stack, including ad delivery systems and optimising at the OS and network levels.
• Continuously optimising systems to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of their various digital ad campaigns.
• Ensure their systems are scalable and reliable to handle more traffic and deliver the most relevant ads without interruption.
• Identifying causes for complex software problems and developing practical, efficient fixes.
• Collaborate cross-functionally (especially with Data Analysts, Product Managers, Marketers and Designers) to align platform development with business objectives.
• Providing input to the product development roadmap.

Mandatory Skills/Experience:

• 5+ years’ experience as a Software Developer
• 2+ years’ recent experience developing low-level Go software
• Previous AdTech experience, familiar with ad delivery systems, programmatic advertising, DSPs, SSPs and Real Time Bidding.
• An effective communicator, proficient in English.
• Able to translate business requirements into appropriate technical solutions.
• Positive mindset, passionate and solutions-oriented, effective working in a fast-moving and rapidly scaling environment.
• Experience working in a public cloud environment, ideally Linux ecosystem.
